This is Red 7. The skin is a blatant copy of an ATS-42 skin but I liked it so much I just had to do it too! And I have a thing for the arrows there.

White 5

Russia, Summer 1941
From pictures on the net; I had to guess at the LHS camo pattern. But notice that the nose is painted in clean lines & the rest in camo. Interesting, no? One thing that annoys me about the MiG-3 mapping is that the cover for the exhaust stacks is overlapped with the cockpit area. So you either have a black cockpit on green & nice black exhaust-stacks cover which looks weird or green cockpit & green stacks cover which looks slightly less crap. Oh well.

401 IAP, Moscow 1941
This also was an ATS-42 skin but I found further pictures & information on the internet. If I remember correctly this aircraft got a bit smashed up during the course of the war but I might be wrong.

7 IAP, Black Sea Fleet, Summer 1943
Art deco gone wild on White 54! This time, Adlabs provided the basic skin & the internet provided more information on the pattern & the background. Weird but I like it. And it certainly stands out in a crowd.
